To me, Super 8 brings a timeless and dramatic feel to a wedding.

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia where I got my first camera at 15 years old. My love for videography grew from my passion for filming skateboarding and I started working professionally in film when I was 20 years old. Through the years, I have filmed and edited my own projects and have worked with directors and artists on music videos, movies and more. I believe my experience has given me a less traditional and more artistic take on wedding videography.

Choosing the Super 8 format was important to me because of the feel that film brings to those who view it. It is a timeless feel that will resonate with the viewer. What we see most commonly is a digital format video, which is beautiful but not as timeless as Super 8 is. While you can capture a lot with digital, Super 8 is much more selective, it creates nostalgia and even creates some mystery.

I have been filming Super 8 for six years now and have absolutely fallen in love with shooting film. After I shot my first roll of Super 8 film, I instantly knew that this format was something special. Nothing compares to seeing everyone’s reaction to their special day caught on film!

FAQ

Why choose Super 8?

Many people choose Super 8 not only for the look but because of the uniqueness that it brings to their wedding video. Every couple has their own style and every Super 8 film turns out differently. What I have found is that many people don’t watch their full wedding video often considering the length of it, while a Super 8 film is much shorter and captures the highlighted moments from the day. The length also makes it more easily shareable with your friends and family. Another reason Super 8 is becoming more popular in the wedding industry is because it is a more affordable way to have your wedding on video, without having to pay for HD cameras and putting a mic on everyone. It is an artistic, organic medium that you will watch for years and years.

How long will it take to receive my Super 8 video?

The roll of film is sent off within 3-4 days after the wedding day. It takes about 2-3 weeks for me to receive the raw footage, which I can provide along with the edited material. You will receive your final edited 3-5 minute video within 1-2 months from the day of your wedding. If it is possible for me to get your video to you sooner, I will do my best to do so.

How long is each roll of Super 8?

Rolls of Super 8 film are not very long; they are usually only 4 minutes per roll. Since it is film, that means that once it is shot, there is no going back. For this reason, we will collaborate with you and decide which shots you want most for your big day! We have a standard list that we recommend for our clients, yet if you feel there is a shot missing or you would like to replace one shot with another, that is perfectly fine. We will work with you and make sure we have every shot you want and need!

Will our video have sound?

Super 8 film does not capture sound so we will be adding a soundtrack to your video. However, it is possible for me to capture small bits of audio such as vows with the use of a lav mic. If this is something you are interested in, let me know and we can discuss the details of that procedure! Due to copyright, I will only be using licensed materials in your wedding day film. As much as I would love for you and your spouse to choose a cool song for your video, it is not legally within my boundaries to do so. That being said, we will work together to establish the vibe of your video and be sure that you are happy with the final product.

Are you able to travel to our wedding?

Absolutely! I am based in Atlanta, GA and willing and able to travel within the U.S. and outside the country. Travel fees will be included and negotiated depending on the location, flight costs, etc.
